WORLD FAMOUS LITHUANIAN PIANIST PERFORMED IN RUDOLFINUM OF PRAGUE

In a prestigious Pragueconcert hall Rudolfinum took place a solo recital of young talented Lithuanian pianist Evelina Puzaité on Saturday, April 6. She performed pieces of S.Rachmaninov, F.Liszt, S.Prokofjev, contemporary Latvian composer P.Vasks and of her own and was very warmly received by the audience.

Puzaité is a soloist and a performer of chamber music renowned for her charismatic and moving performances. She has appeared in a number of internationally recognized venues such as Barbican, Wigmore Hall, South Bank Centre, Carnegie Hall, and music festivals – “Usedomer” (Germany), “Festival di Londra” (Italy), EPTA (Cyprus), and “The Presteigne Festival” (Wales). Puzaité is also known as a composer who has cooperated with a number of established musical orchestras; amongst them are the Chamber and Symphonic orchestras of Lithuania, Philharmonic Orchestra of Brighton, GSMD Symphonic Orchestra , Fine Arts Quartet, and Cosima Piano Quintet. She has also won the Rubenstein pianoforte competition inFrance, Tel-Hai international pianoforte competition inIsrael, and Abstract Securities Landor contest.

The concert was promoted by the Embassy of Lithuania in Pragueand was given the auspices of the Ambassador Aurimas Taurantas.
