Works of Lithuanian painter Eugenija Pilypaitienė shown in Liberec
April 29, the exhibition of a Lithuanian painter Eugenija Pilypaitienė titled „My Country on the banks of Nemunas.“ was opened in an official ceremony at the Municipality building of the Liberec region. The exhibition was organized under the initiative of the Honorary Consul of Lithuania to the Northern Czech Region Saulius Bazevičius.
The opening ceremony began with the opera recital by opera soloist Rasa Jazukonytė and pianist Gytis Ginauskas, who entertained the guests with the works of Czech and Lithuanian composers. Amongst the speakers at the event were the Ambassador of Lithuania Edvilas Raudonikis, the Vice-President of the Region Hana Maierová, and the Honorary Consul Saulius Bazevičius. The works of the exhibition were introduced by the daughter of the author herself, who travelled to Czech Republic for this occasion.
The exhibition will be open in the Municipality of the Liberec Region, U Jezu 642/2a, until May 30. It is free to visit for the public on Mondays and Wednesdays from 08:00 to 18:00, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 08:00 to 17:00.
