THE SCREENING OF THE FILM "HOW WE PLAYED THE REVOLUTION" IN PRAGUE MARKED THE ANNIVERSARY OF RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF LITHUANIAN INDEPENDENCE
On the last Friday of March, in Prague, Lithuanian Embassy in the Czech Republic organised screening of the new film directed by Ms Giedre Žickytė "How we played the Revolution". This film is about inspiring and mobilizing role of music and rock marches which were important part of the Singing Revolution in the era of "Sąjūdis" - Movement for Lithuania's Independence. It is about the phenomenon of the legendary rock band "Antis".
The film screening took place in the Prague pub Klamovka- known as the legendary, alternative movement and communist era dissident gathering place.
The event was attended by members of the Lithuanian community in the Czech Republic, Lithuanian students, and friends of Lithuania. Lithuanian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Mr Aurimas Taurantas, pointed out that there is a meaningful gathering to celebrate 22nd anniversary of Lithuanian Independence
