The Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania marked in a Lithuanian documentary screening

March 13, Prague Film School held a screening of a collection of Lithuanian documentary films to mark the Celebration of Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania.

The director of the film school, Tomas Krasauskas, was there to introduce the audience to the “Anthology of Lithuanian Documentary Film.” The author of the project, Lina Kaminskaitė-Jančorienė, was present via Skype and presented the following documentary films that reflect different two distinct time periods in Lithuania:

 

“Cheer Up, Virginijus!” (1962)

” Dreams of Centenarians” (1969)

“A Trip Across Misty Meadows” (1973)

“Earth of the Blind” (1992)

“Antigravitation” (1995)

 

The screenings were followed by a Skype conversation with a film director Aurius Stonys - author of the films “Earth of the Blind” and “Antigraviation.”
