Ambassador of Lithuania Edvilas Raudonikis, Ambassador of Latvia Alberts Sarkanis and Ambassador of Estonia Sten Schwede were there to introduce the region‘s security perspective from viewpoint of each of the Baltic countries. During the discussion ambassadors underlined the changes that took place after the region regained independence, mentioned the economic transition from East to West, long lasting tolerance towards ethnic minorities, reminded of the region‘s growing energy independence as well as the building of defense capabilities to counteract the hybrid threat. Czech panelists shared their views on the issue of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine and the involvement of third countries in it. Unanimously, the panelists expressed concern over Russia’s regional politics, and its repercussions to the European Neighborhood policy and highlighted the Nato’s response in Europe.
