Prague Joins in Song to Celebrate the National Statehood Day of Lithuania

July 6, on the National Statehood Day of Lithuania, Embassy of Lithuania, together with the members of the Lithuanian Community and Lithuanians travelling in Czech Republic, joined thousands of Lithuanians worldwide by signing the national anthem to mark this important occasion.

This year the organizers of the event - uniting all Lithuanians in song - are beginning the project to create a documentary of this relatively new tradition together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. In 2018 the tradition will be of particular importance marking the 100th anniversary of the National Statehood Day.
