Lithuanian Movie Opened the Nordic Film Festival in Prague
On November 14th, the Nordic Film Festival was opened by Lithuanian drama „Sasha was here“ (2018). On this occasion film‘s director Ernestas Jankauskas and one of the main actors Gabija Siurbytė visited Prague. After the film they were a part of a discussion with the large audience of the festival.
Lithuanian ambassador Edvilas Raudonikis welcomed the public and expressed his thought that movies open the window for greater mutual understanding.
At this year‘s Nordic Film Festival there will be three Lithuanian movies screened: „Saša was here“ (2018, dir. E. Jankauskas), „Summer survivors“ (2019, dir. M. Kavtaradze) and „Emilija“ (2017, dir. D. Ulvydas). Lithuanian films were showed not only in Prague, but also in Brno, Ostrava, Česke Budejovice, Jesenik, Kutna Hora, Liberec, Usti nad Labem, Vaseli nad Moravou, Vrchlabi, Zlin.
