Lithuanian Freedom Fighters Commemorated with Floating Candles in Vltava River in Prague

On January 13th, Lithuanian Embassy has invited members of the Lithuanian community in the Czech Republic to commemorate the Day of Freedom Fighters.

Lithuanians living in the Czech Republic and friends of our country have gathered on the Strelecky Island opposite the Charles Bridge in the centre of Prague. The names of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for freedom were read, and their deeds were honoured by sending out 14 candles afloat the Vltava River.
