LITHUANIAN FILM DIRECTOR'S WORK AT THE 19TH EUROPEAN CINEMA DAYS FESTIVAL IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Please be advised that in Prague during the 19th European Film Days festival (19 dny Evropského filmu DEF) Lithuanian film "Back into your arms" (2010) - directed by Kristijonas Vildžiūnas will be shown. It will be on in Prague 16 April. Monday, 21.00 hours at the cinema Lucerna.
The film tells the story of 1961 Berlin, where after 17 years of separation a father and daughter are trying to meet. The daughter comes from the U.S., and the father of the Soviet Union, but KGB agents in disguise start "taking care" of him.
"Back into your arms" won most of the biggest 2011 Lithuanian cinema awards "Sidabrinė gervė" (Silver Crane) - for best full - length feature film, best script, best actor and actress roles, the second best actor and actress as well as the best work of professional mastery.
The European Film Days Festival will move to other cities in the Czech Republic, so Ostrava residents or guests will also get the possibility to view the film. "Back into your arms" will be on in Ostrava 30 April Monday, 19.30 at the Kino ART.The movie is in Lithuanian with subtitles in Czech and English.
The Lithuanian Embassy in the Czech Republic is organizing the film's "Back into your arms" participation at the 19DEF festival.
The festival in Prague and other Czech towns is taking place 12 April. - 2 May.
