LITHUANIAN AND CZECH BUSINESSMEN WILL FROM NOW ON FIND COMMUNICATION EASIER
On Friday 20 September the Václav Havel Airport Prague saw off the first aircraft of the new Lithuanian airline Air Lituanica. The inauguration ceremony of the first flight was attended by Lithuanian Ambassador in the Czech Republic Mr Aurimas Taurantas. He expressed his belief “that regular flights from Vilnius to Prague will facilitate and strengthen business and tourism relations between the two countries, as well as make people to people contacts more convenient”.
“We are very pleased that the new airline Air Lituanica has placed Prague among its five first
destinations. The initiation of regularly scheduled flights by Air Lituanica will provide passengers flying out of Prague with a direct air connection once again to Vilnius. We believe existing demand for travel between the Czech Republic and the Lithuanian capital will guarantee long term success for the new route,” says Jozef Sinčák, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and Senior Executive Director of the Business and Corporate Services Division at Prague Airport.
According to CCO of Air Lituanica Mr Simonas Bartkus, the route to Prague was mainly oriented towards passengers travelling for business purposes both directly to Prague and on connecting flights via the Václav Havel Airport. The airport of the Czech capital is conveniently located for those travelling on connecting flights to North America, Russia and a variety of European countries.
Air Lituanica flights between the Václav Havel Airport Prague and Vilnius International Airport will be carried out four times per week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays by their second Embraer 175 accommodating 86 passengers.
