Lithuanian Ambassador Discusses Security, Defense Cooperation, and Support for Ukraine with Czech Army Chief
On February 11, Lithuania’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Rolandas Kačinskas, met with General Lieutenant Karel Řehka, Chief of the Czech Army General Staff.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its participation in NATO’s forward defense battle group in Lithuania and the Baltic Air Policing Mission, emphasizing the significant Czech contribution to strengthening the eastern flank of the Alliance.
The meeting covered topics such as defense investments, NATO capability goals, preparations for the upcoming NATO summit, and continued support for Ukraine. The Ambassador also presented the “Baltic Miltech Summit 2025,” an international defense technology event scheduled to take place in Vilnius in May, highlighting Lithuania’s aim to enhance military cooperation with the Czech Republic, including closer ties in the defense industry sector.
