Events in Prague commemorating the 25th anniversary of January 13, 1991
Jan 9, Saturday, the Embassy garden was blooming with the forget-me-not flowers, crafted out of paper by the Debesynas’ school children, parents and teachers to symbolically join the commemoration of the anniversary throughout the world. The school children also used forget-me-nots carrying their thoughts to decorate a banner to the casualties of January 13th, 1991.
The forget-me-nots and candles will also be used in an occasion to mark the anniversary on January 13th in an event open to public, Wednesday, 6 p.m., at the Embassy of Lithuania in Prague (Pod Klikovkou 1916/2, Praha-Smichov). During the event a section of the internationally acclaimed Lithuanian artists Jonas Mekas‘ film “Lithuania and the Collapse of the USSR“ will be screened.
We invite everyone to participate and register in advance by email at vaida.nemeckova@urm.lt or by phone +420 257 210 123.
