Charitable Christmas Fair Profit Beats Last Year’s Record
Prague Hilton Hotel hosted a charitable Christmas Festival on November 25th, was organized by the Czech Republic's Diplomatic Spouses Association. This year Lithuanian stand welcomed everyone with a big variety of products, which helped us raise 70 000 Czech crowns (2 800 euro). This is almost twice as much as the profit from the year 2017.
Lithuanian embassy’s stand offered both food and fine handmade ware. Participants of the fair enjoyed Lithuanian chocolates, traditional cake šakotis, and artisan Christmas gingerbread cookies made by Birutė Rainienė.
As usual, many people were interested in Lithuanian DŽIUGAS cheese. We also offered wooden handcrafts by Etnodesign.lt, wool jewelry by Irma Aleknienė, and ceramics and concrete decorations made by Eglė Raudonikienė and Vaida Braškytė-Němečkova.
The Embassy would like to thank everyone whose handmade products helped us present Lithuanian traditions and realties, as well as volunteers at the stand.
