AMID EU PRESIDENCY LITHUANIA BECOMES THE CULTURAL SPOTLIGHT IN KROMĚŘÍŽ
Nov. 11, the Lithuanian Days were opened in the Cultural House of Kroměříž. The opening began with a public discussion with a publicist and a scholar of Brno Masaryk University Vaidas Šeferis, and a historian Luboš Švec, moderated by the editor of the Czech Radio ČRo6 program Daniela Vrbová.
At the ceremony the ambassador of Lithuania to the Czech Republic Aurimas Taurantas introduced the audience to the two exhibitions showcased at the cultural house: “Czechoslovakia and Lithuania: Road to Freedom” and “Lithuanian Press Photography.”
The guests also had an opportunity to taste Lithuanian cuisine prepared by local chefs. Lithuanian Days in Kroměříž is a part of the cycle of events organized by the member of the European Parliament Olga Sehnalová, aimed at presenting the countries currently presiding to the Council of the EU.
