In New York, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis honored the victims of September 11
On 20 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, as part of a delegation led by the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks and honoured their victims, including the Lithuanian citizen Jelena Melnichenko.
“In honour of the victims of these terrible terrorist attacks, we stand united with our allies and partners. Continued global efforts are necessary to combat terrorism,” said Landsbergis.
On 19-22 September, Landsbergis is participating in the high-level events of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
