On 10 April, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius attended the Stratcom Summit in Prague, where he presented Lithuania’s contribution to the strengthening of the European Union’s resilience to hybrid threats and disinformation.
On February 1st, at the Vítkov National Monument in Prague, the ceremonial arrival of the first rotation of the Czech Army unit took place after its return from the foreign mission of the eFP Lithuania.
The fiftieth anniversary of the Jan Palach self-immolation is taking place in the Czech Republic. On January 16th 1969, in the centre of Prague he poured gasoline over himself and set himself on fire, in protest against the Soviet occupation. At that time, he was not the only protester in the Soviet bloc to sacrifice his own life. Today, at the conference organized by the Charles University in Prague to commemorate the deed of its student Jan Palach, also Romas Kalanta from Lithuania and other "living torches" were presented.
On January 13th, Lithuanian Embassy has invited members of the Lithuanian community in the Czech Republic to commemorate the Day of Freedom Fighters.
